SideTill

Did this make you money, or did it just make you work?

SideTill is the simple record of your side hustle. Log a job, send the invoice, record the money when it comes in, and see whether the month actually made you money.

What do you actually earn an hour?

The number nobody shows you. Put this month's numbers in and see what you really made. SideTill keeps the answer for every month, and compares it to your best one.

This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing typed into it leaves your device — no accounts, no cookies, no tracking.

Four steps, one screen each

Log the job

What you did, how long it took, what you charged. Thirty seconds.

Send the invoice

Drafted for you, shared as a PDF or as text. Your payment details already on it.

Record the money

When it lands. Bank transfer, PayPal, cash or a Stripe link — whichever the client used.

See what it really made

Money in, money out, what's left. And what you earned an hour, next to your best month.

Also in the app

  • Chase late payments without being a dunner. A polite reminder written for you in three tones — gentle, firmer, final — that you send yourself.
  • Photograph a receipt. The shop, total and date are read on your phone. The photo stays with the expense, ready for your accountant.
  • Every client. What they've been billed, what they've paid and what's outstanding.
  • Export for your accountant. A CSV of every invoice, payment and expense, with the receipt photos in one zip.

SideTill is not tax software and does not file anything with HMRC. It is the simple record of your side hustle that a spreadsheet was meant to be.

Your data stays yours

  • No account to start. The database is local, on your phone. An account appears only if you ask for backup.
  • No money passes through us. SideTill never touches your money, holds no funds and stores no card or bank details. Payment is a link out to the client's existing method.
  • No cloud copy unless you ask. Optional backup goes to your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive — your folder, your account, your keys. We are not in the path.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no password. The only account you will ever have is your own Google or Apple sign-in, and only if you ask for cloud backup.

Does SideTill take my money?

No. It records that a client paid you; the payment itself happens between you and them. SideTill holds no funds and stores no card details.

What if I am just starting out?

That suits it well. The basics are free: log the job, send the invoice, record the money and see what you made. A few extras, like the export for your accountant, are in Pro.

Will it file my tax return?

No, and it does not try to. It is a record, not a tax tool. When you want a return, you take the export to someone who does that.
